UPDATES The first shipment of Goldshield thyroxine has landed in New Zealand at last. Goldshield Thyroxine is the alternative fully subsidised brand to GSK Eltroxin. This has been a hot health issue for the last few months and its great to see that Pharmac has kept their word. Patient who has side effects from Eltroxin, can now try a fully subsidised alternative without financial hindrance. We received our first batch of Goldshield Thyroxine today and immediately it went out but we have manage to capture a couple of pics.

The initial batch of Goldshield Thyroxine has a totally different name and manufacturer on the packaging which as added to further confusion but Goldshield Healthcare (NZ) promptly issue a media statement to Pharmacist to clarify the matter.
