Astrazenecca has informed community pharmacies throughout NZ that Arimidex remains available and fully funded in community pharmacies for all current breast cancer patients. Arimidex is the brand name for anastrozole, a medicine which is used for the treatment of early breast cancer. Special authority is available for funding of premiums for patients who are not already on Arimidex.
