   Viagra (sildenafil Citrate) was launch in 1998 by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals to treat ED and  is now celebrating its Diamond Anniversary from August 2008. As part of its celebration Pfizer NZ is offering Viagra user in New Zealand a bonus of box when they join  the Viagra Frequency Card Programme ( by submitting two frequency cards within a six month time frame). This reward is an addition to the existing loyalty programme which offers TWO FREE boxes. By joining Pfizers Viagra frequency programme you are getting a 27% discount on the market price of Viagra. 

  Its easy to join the Viagra Frequency Card Programme, simply ask your pharmacist for a frequency card(s) when collecting your Viagra prescription. When you have reached your bonus you simply send a copy of the receipts with the completed Viagra frequency Card to Pfizer NZ. Pfizer, will notify you and your nominated pharmacy by mail when your bonus box of Viagra is ready to be collected.

  Calcium sandoz 1000mg effervescent tablets by Novartis is available again effective 1st July 2008 and is fully funded by the government. Calcium Sandoz was previously replaced by AFT pharmaceutical's Calci-Tab effervescent.

Novartis, will replace Calcium sandoz 1000mg effervescent tablets with Calsource 1000mg effervescent tablets when stocks of Calcium Sandoz are exhausted.

Apo-Clopidogrel, the generic brand for Plavix 75mg is fully subsidsed on the first September 2008. Plavix, is still fully subsided till further notice from Pharmac. Clopidogrel, is widely use for the prevention of interruption of blood supply to heart muscle or referred by medical terms as Prevention of vascular ischaemia associated with atherothrombotic events (MI, stroke and vascular death) in patients with a history of symptomatic atherosclerotic disease.

Essentially,there will be two brands of Clopidogrel in the pharmacy market in September 2008, so let your pharmacist know which brand you or your doctor prefers. Some prescriptions may have "Substituition Not Permitted" so your pharmacist will be obliged to dispensed what is written.
