Approved Indications: Acute and chronic diarrhea, and associated gas-relatedabdominal discomfort (chewable tablet only).

Contraindications: Children under 12 years, diarrhea associated with E. coli. Salmonella, Shigella, acute ulcerative colitis. Crohn’s disease, urinary obstruction, pyloric obstruction, gastric retention, intestinal stasis.

Precautions: Hepatic impairment, pregnancy, lactation.

Adverse Effects: Constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, giddiness.

Directions: Adults and children over 12 years: take 2 caplets/capsules initially, then 1 chewable tablet after each loose stool, maximum 4 tablets daily.
